Your own database
Every client gets a dedicated cloud database. Your data is never co-mingled with any other room's.
Never sold, never pooled
Your operating data is never sold, pooled, or published. The room directory is opt-in, and it only ever shows your name, city, hours, and a link to your player app.
Export anytime
You can export your room's data whenever you want. There's no lock-in.
Encrypted and backed up
Data is encrypted and backed up. That's the standard for every room on CardOpz, not something you have to turn on.

Where it runs
CardOpz has three pieces, and they don't all live in the same place.
Cloud platform
Runs on Microsoft Azure, in US data centers.
CardOpz Desktop
Runs on the room's own workstations.
Player app
Runs in the browser, under your club's name.
Staff access, logged
Staff access is role-based: admin, floor, cage, tournament, waitlist, display, and kiosk roles exist, and each one sees only what it needs.
Every staff action and transaction is logged and auditable.
Signing in without a password
The player app supports passwordless, passkey-based sign-in (FIDO2), so nothing but a public key sits on the server.
Player accounts still get verified in person at the room before any money moves.

CardOpz is built and supported in the United States, by CardOpz LLC out of Chula Vista, California. If you're a client, you reach the team through the support portal.
What we build on
Microsoft Azure hosts the cloud platform in US data centers. Twilio delivers the text messages: waitlist pages, seat calls and sign-up links. TINCheck verifies tax identification numbers for payouts. Thales scanners read IDs and passports at the door.
